  • Amazing and Simple

    While being stuck at home my fiancé and I decided to try the take out kits. The recipes they have are all things we thought would be time consuming and a lot of work. Well we were wrong. Take out kit does a great job of creating easy recipes for amazing dishes. All together it took us about 45 mins to make it and we seared scallops to put on top. The servings are large, but it's packaged so you could easily split the kit into two meals. We will be ordering this again.

    We loved making this dish. You do have to pay attention to the instruction as it’s not a dish you walk away from the stove with. We dint care for the truffle sauce you add near end of recipe. It tasted much better without it.

    We made this dish on a Friday evening along with chicken thighs and a salad - it was fun to make and the payoff was an amazing risotto ! Had some white wine with it too. Was really nice having something in the pantry ready to make after a long week instead of going to the grocery. 5 stars *****!

  • Bring your dinner party into the kitchen

    This is an incredibly good meal. It does take patience and needs to be tended for 45 minutes or so. This is not a meal to be prepared while the rest of the party is in the living room swapping stories. Get your guests involved! “Stir this while I feed the cat... walk the dog... change the baby.” Everyone will feel as if they are a part of something greater than themselves! This serves 6 well as a side dish or 4 very generously. If you WANT to be in the living room swapping stories, try the Spanish Paella kit. It gives you 25 minutes with nothing to do!

  • Great Cooking Experience

    My daughter (14) received this kit as a gift. She made it entirely on her own and thoroughly enjoyed herself. It helped build her confidence in the kitchen . The instructions are great and indgrediants are very good. My only misgiving was how overpowering the mushrooms were in the dish. But perhaps that is personal taste!

  • Tremendous flavor and easy to make

    Good, creamy risotto is a difficult trick -- requires patience and the right ingredients. This kit provides the latter, including a wonderful truffle sauce. Typical easy-to-follow recipe was spot on for duration, and the resulting dish was outstanding. Heed the suggestions - we added white wine to the broth and some pan-seared scallops, the perfect pairing.
