I grew up in a small Maine town with limited international food. While in college, I tasted pad Thai for the first time – as simple as it sounds, and it changed my life. My passion for global flavors became easy to indulge when I graduated and moved to New York City to work in international finance. After several years of working in finance and dreaming about food, I finally decided to make my passion into a business in the form of Takeout Kit. My vision is to bring the experience that shaped my life to every home in America!
What is a "Takeout Kit"? Takeout Kits feature recipes that you wouldn't normally make at home or might require a trip to a specialty international market. Through our meal kits, we teach our customers how to use exotic ingredients like Korean gochujang or new techniques like folding empanadas. The long shelf life adds additional convenience and sustainability since you don’t need to cook the meal kits within 2-3 days. Takeout Kits can stay in your pantry until you’re ready to cook.
