I grew up in a small Maine town where the only international food option was a Chinese take-out restaurant. During my freshmen year of college, my roommates and friends introduced me to Indian and Thai food. As simple as it seemed at the time, it changed my life. Since then I have traveled to 10 countries (including living in Spain), enjoyed a career in international finance, and earned my MBA as a first-generation college student. I believe that an appreciation of a country’s food cultivates curiosity in culture, which leads to traveling and learning, which leads to feeling more connected to a global community and ultimately having a better life. Through Takeout Kit I hope to bring the experience that shaped my life to every home in America. I hope that you enjoy!
