Paella is one of the most popular and iconic dishes in Spanish cuisine, but did you know that it used to be considered peasant's food? There are many variations of this classic dish, but every authentic version has two consistent ingredients: saffron and bomba (or caslasparra) rice. What makes this dish so special is saffron; it's the most expensive spice in the world, can only be harvest by hand, and can cost up to $10,000/lb. Thankfully, this easy meal kit is much more affordable! In under an hour (30 min active cooking), you can enjoy the flavors and culture of Spain from the comfort of your kitchen! Don't forget to grab a glass of red wine and play some Spanish guitar music to complete the experience (flamenco dancing is optional)!

Developed By: Our Founder! Rachael Lake, Founder & CEO
Spanish paella has held a special place in Rachael Lake's (Raquel Lago) heart ever since she lived in Córdoba, Spain. She still remembers getting chills from attending flamenco and Spanish guitar shows, taking cooking classes, and being so immersed in the language that she would dream in Spanish.
